Fri3d Camp is a biannual family-friendly summer camp for hackers, makers and DIYers. It is a way to discover and experience new technologies in the informal atmosphere of an outdoor summer camp.
Dekimo supports the Fri3d Camp by supplying the electronic components for the gadget each visitor receives, and we do the SMD assembly of the gadget in our factory, which drastically boosts the production speed. The organizers were also given access to our prototyping facilities in Leuven during the development phase.
One of our colleagues, Wim Van Gool from Dekimo Leuven, is part of the organization of the camp. He is also responsible for developing the badge and various other electronics used throughout the camp. Dekimo is more than happy to lend a helping hand for initiatives like this from our colleagues! It’s also nice to see that the organization focuses on making electronics accessible for both young and old.
